Geno Segers - Episode 127

Steve Cooper talks with actor Geno Segers. Geno's first taste of the entertainment field began with a suggestion by a friend to try voice-work. Possessing a naturally-rich bass quality, Geno first auditioned for voice-ads for a radio station in New Zealand. His voice gained him attention enough to attract an agent's ear. This led to Segers being cast in the role of Mufasa in an Australian stage production of "The Lion King". With an intimidating voice and appearance, Geno is best known and identified with the comedic series Pair of Kings that aired on the Disney Channel.

Ritch Shydner - Episode 126

Steve Cooper talks with Comic/Writer Ritch Shydner. Ritch makes his second appearance on CooperTalk. He was the star of the documentary I Am Comic and has performed on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Late Night with David Letterman and HBO's One Night Stand to name a few of the hundreds. He was also a regular on Married With Children and his writing credits include Blue Collar TV, Becker, Roseanne and Mind of a Married Man. He also is the Co-Author of the book I Killed.

Steve Cooper talks with Comic/Writer Jen Kirkman. Jen is a writer and roundtable regular on The E! Network’s Chelsea Lately. She has also written for the NBC sitcom Perfect Couples and Disney’s hit cartoon, Phineas and Ferb. She has performed stand-up on: Conan, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Late Friday on NBC, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, The BBC UK’s The World Stands Up. In addition she was a cast member of Vh1’s sketch show Acceptable TV and played many characters on the Cartoon Network’s Home Movies as well as Current TV’s political cartoon Super News! She can be heard as herself, nicknamed Southie on the monthly podcast available through iTunes, The Pod F. Tompkast. She recently wrote a book called I Can Barely Take Care Of Myself that will be released in April.

       

Todd Sawyer - Episode 123

Todd has performed in all fifty states, eight countries, and has been seen on television, college campuses, and USO tours entertaining the troops. Todd recently was on a three year tour with the Blue Collar Comedy’s Ron White and was a writer on CMT's Ron White's 2011 Comedy Salute to the Troops. He also won the prestigious Seattle Stand-up Comedy Competition and has made multiple appearances on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Ted Lyde - Episode 122

Steve Cooper talks with Actor/Comic Ted Lyde. Ted co-starred, wrote and directed the movie The Windy City. He has also acted in the TV shows Everybody Hates Chris, Bones, Boston Legal, Ugly Betty, The Distirict and 10 Things I hate About You to name a few and has appeared in dozens of national commercials including ones for Spam, Hyundai and 24 Hour Fitness. He got his start in entertainment doing stand-up comedy and after a hiatus has now started performing again.

Steve Cooper talks with Comic Alli Breen. Alli recently appeared on the TV Guide Channel's Stand Up in Stilettos. She performs all over the country and has shown her talent at many festivals including the Ventura Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival and the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival. She is a regular on the Nobody Likes Onions podcast and recently went overseas to perform for our Troops.

Steve Cooper talks with Comic Laura Hayden. Laura recently appeared on TV Guide Network's Stand Up In Stilettos. She has also appeared or been heard on The Night Shift, Funny Dot Com, Raw Dog Radio, Funny Farm TV, Sirius XM Radio and many more. Besides performing at clubs across the country she is a regular at comedy festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Boston international Comedy Festival and Laughing Skull Comedy Competiton. She currently continues to ply her craft, is rewriting a succesful one person show about the 80's and is a professional Physical Therapist who practices the technique of comedic therapy. 

Tom Rhodes - Episode 118

Steve Cooper talks with Comic/Host Tom Rhodes. Tom is a international headliner being a crowd favorite in both the US and in Europe. He has performed on Evening at the Improv, Comedy on the Road, Caroline's Comedy Hour, MTV Half Hour Comedy Hour, Comic Strip Live and Two Drink Minimum to name a few. Dylan Brody - Episode 113

Steve Cooper talks with Humorist/Story Teller Dylan Brody. Dylan is known as the Purveyor of Fine Words and Phrases. His material runs on XM/Sirius Satelliet Radio and is part of the Pandora comedy catalogue. He writes and performs for the David Feldman Show on KPFK and is a regular contributor to John Rabe's Off Ramp on KPCC. He is a thrice published author of fiction for the Young Adult market and is a writes articles for the Huffington Post. Tim Martin Gleason - Episode 111

Steve Cooper talks with Actor Tim Martin Gleason. Tim played Raoul in the Phantom of the Opera over 2,600 times. He then played the lead role as The Phantom on Broadway as well as in the road productions in cities including St. Louis and Los Angeles. He then moved to Vegas to not only perform in it's run at The Venitian but added the role as a Technical Advisor for the hit play. Now residing in LA, he has had guest starring roles in the shows Undercovers, Criminal Minds, GCB and The Closer. Steve Cooper talks with Comic/Actor Tony Baker. Tony was a finalist in NBC's Diversity Stand Up Search which led him to showcase at the NACA Nationals. He now is a very popular performer on the college circuit and is a regular at The World Famous Comedy Store in Hollywood. H also plays clubs all over the country. He recently appeared on Comedy Central's Gabriel Inglesia's Stand-Up Revolution. As an actor he was in a national Jack in the Box commercial and has been cast in many regional commercials.

Steve Cooper talks with Comic Don McMillan. Don won the prestigous 16th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition and also was the $100,000 Grand Champion on Star Search in 1993. He has also appeared on the Tonight Show, The Larry King Show, MTV's Half Hour Comedy Hour and A&E's Evening at the Improv. As an actor he starred in 15 national commercials for Budweiser where he played the Bud Delivery Guy. Matt Braunger - Episode 108

Steve Cooper talks with Comic/Actor Matt Braunger. Brian McKim & Traci Skene - Episode 76

Steve Cooper talks with Brian McKim and Traci Skene. Brian and Traci are a married couple who perform and are favorites in Comedy Clubs all over the country. They both have appeared on Last Comic Standing and recently wrote the book The Comedy Bible: The Complete Resource For Aspiring Comedians. In 1999 they created Sheckymagazine.com which still stands in the forefront of publications about the world of Stand-Up. They also are responsible for Steve getting into comedy. They were his Teachers for a Learning Annex comedy class years ago in Philadelphia.

Frank Conniff - Episode 75

Steve Cooper talks with Comic/Writer Frank Conniff. Frank is a fixture on the Los Angeles alternative comedy scene. Some of his writing credits include Cinematic Titanic, Invader Zim and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. He played TVs Frank on and also wrote for Mystery Science Theatre 3000.
